Mandalas

Mandala means "container of essence" or "sacred circle" in Sanskrit. The circle is a universal symbol of wholeness. Mandalas have been found in all cultures and all traditions and can be used as a way to connect to healing power within. Some of the mandalas pictured were created at workshops that examine and practice various ways to keep our body, mind, and spirit connected for wellness - and to strengthen our connection to healing energy. The workshops are entitled "The Healing Power of Mandalas." The medium is colored pencil on black paper.
